A homemade dip is better than anything store bought and this easy hummus recipe lets you dip to your hearts content with a great texture and taste.


400g can of chickpeas
2 cloves of garlic
3 tbsp Mellow Yellow Rapeseed Oil
Juice of 1 lemon
½ tsp salt
½ tsp ground cumin


Drain and rinse the chickpeas, peel the garlic cloves and juice the lemon. Pop all ingredients into a food processor, including the rapeseed oil, salt and cumin. Decant into a serving bowl and finish with a drizzle of rapeseed oil on top.
Serve with tortilla, flat breads, pittas or crudités.
This recipe is so easy to modify - add roasted red peppers or caramelised onion, or even sun dried tomatoes.
