Simple Honey Granola

Our Simple Honey Granola recipe is quick, easy, cost effective and much healthier than shop-bought granola! Either for breakfast or as a snack, this delicious granola tastes great and our recipe makes approximately the same amount as a shop-bought bag, so you will have plenty to enjoy for a little while! You can put your own spin on this recipe, either with our Seed and Nut Granola, Chocolate, Hazelnut and Apricot Granola, or with your own additions of your favourite fruit, nuts or seeds.

400g porridge oats
100g runny honey
30g golden caster sugar
85g Mellow Yellow Rapeseed Oil


Preheat the oven to 170°C.
In a large saucepan, add your Mellow Yellow Rapeseed Oil, honey and sugar, gently heat and mix together until the sugar is melted and all combined.
Remove from the heat and add the oats. Mix well until the oats are completely covered in the oil and honey mixture. Pour out onto a large, lined baking tray and spread out, it should be rough not pressed down.
Bake for 15 minutes or until just going golden. Leave to completely cool in the tray before crumbling up into small pieces and then store in an airtight container.
