The perfect pairing for cheese, cured meats and olives – grissini is a guaranteed hit for al fresco get togethers. Originating in Turin in Italy, around the 17th century, they were initially created as a way to provide a long, easily-eaten bread that wouldn’t go stale quickly. But we don’t think you’ll need to worry about these hanging around for too long – they are deliciously moreish.
We’ve used some sourdough starter in this recipe but they are just as good with instant yeast and refreshingly simple to make. Enjoy them with our wild garlic pesto and smoked hummus, or an antipasti platter.

We’ve combined all the flavours of falafel in this great salad, but without the faff of making actual falafel! The cauliflower is roasted in our delicious, subtly nutty Mellow Yellow cold pressed rapeseed oil before being blitzed into a cheese sauce with the other ingredients for an outstanding flavour and creamy texture. If you’ve extra cauliflower leaves left over, roast them up and add them to the final dish for extra nutrients and a touch of vibrant green.

Tin loaves are perfect for all of those family favourites like sandwiches, toasties and peanut butter on toast! Our sourdough recipe combines strong white bread flour with wholegrain flour to bring in extra fibre, with a touch of honey for subtle sweetness. A good glug of our Mellow Yellow cold pressed rapeseed oil helps to tenderise the loaf, resulting in a lovely soft interior and gorgeous golden crust.
We’ve used a variety of seeds in our recipe here, but you can experiment with different toppings to see what you enjoy most. If you don’t have a sourdough starter, switch to a half sachet of instant yeast, but be sure to keep an eye on gluten development! It’ll leaven the bread much quicker than sourdough so you’ll need to adjust the timings accordingly.
